As far back as I can remember, I've had a passion for drawing, painting and beading.  By the time I was 9 or 10 I had converted my purple Kool-Aid stand built by my dad into a jewelry counter where I sold my beaded jewelry to the neighborhood kids in front of our house.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from UW-Stevens Point in 1986 and worked for a commercial design company until starting a family a few years later.  I decided to be a stay at home mom and painted ceramic jewelry from my home studio for 18 years.  I ventured out and began painting on vintage windows, chairs and ornaments and also found myself collecting beads to make jewelry for myself.  It wasn't long before I began recieving requests for my jewelry and painted pieces from friends.   This is when my business, One By One, was born.

I've always had an eye for color and for blending shapes and textures.  I apply this to my beading, painting and decorating.  My jewelry collections include assortments of semi precious gemstone beads, czech glass, metal, wood and more!  Assymetrical designs are my favorite!
